Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot Inaugurates New Building at St. Joseph’s College, Hassan

Bengaluru- Hassan;  Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot graced the inauguration ceremony of the new building at St. Joseph’s College in Hassan, where he reiterated the paramount significance of education in personal growth and societal advancement. The event marked the college’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for learning and holistic development.

Governor Gehlot lauded St. Joseph’s College for its remarkable contributions in the field of education. With a focus on fostering moral values and equipping students with essential skills, the college aims to shape a new and prosperous India.

In his address, Governor Gehlot quoted Swami Vivekananda, stating, “Education builds personality, fosters mental development, and enables individuals to stand on their own feet.” He commended the college for its efforts to align education with modern knowledge while upholding the rich cultural heritage, unity, integrity, equality, and harmony of the nation.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including MLA Shri Swaroop Prakash, Hassan University VC Dr. Taranath, Hassan DC IAS Smt. Archana, Fr Dionysius Vaz, President, Provincial of the Karnataka Jesuit province, Fr. Daniel Fernandes, Principal of St. Joseph’s College, Hassan.
