Artist Rehaman Patel chosen for Haridas Ratna award

Kalaburagi: based artist and researcher Rehaman Patel has been chosen for the prestigious “Haridas Ratna Award” presented by the Kalaburagi South Zone Kannada Sahitya Parishath. The award will be conferred on July 7 at 2nd Dasa Sahitya Sammelana which will be held at Sangameshwar Sabhagraha in Kalaburagi city.

Zonal president Shamsunder Kulkarni said that Patel has been selected for this award in view of his contribution to the field of fine art and research work. Patel is widely known for his socio-cultural paintings and research articles on Bhamani art and architecture.

KKRDB president and MLA Dr Ajay Singh would lead the event. KSP president Vijaykumar Patil Tegaltippi and other will take part in the event.
