valedictory function of the online FDP by VTU and IIITA

KALABURAGI: A Valedictory function of 5 day one Week Online Faculty Development Program on “Exemplary Practices in Teaching – Learning and Evaluation of Courses in Computer Science & Information Technology” Jointly organised by Visvesvaraya Technological University’s Centre for Postgraduate Studies, Kalaburagi & Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad.

The Programme was attended by Dr. P Nagabhushan, Director, IIIT, Allahabad, Dr. A. S. Deshpande, Registrar( VTU), Dr. Shirshu verma, Registrar( IIITA), Dr. Satish Annigeri , Registrar (Eval). Dr. Deshpande stressed that there is need for such programmes for generation Y. Since the generation is more conversant with the computer technology, there is a need to evolve a methodology in teaching learning and evaluation. This FDP was an answer for the required methodology. Dr. Shishru Verma thanked VTU officials and staff for hosting such a wonderful FDP useful for teaching staff. Dr. Satish Annigeri highlighted the importance of Free and Open and Source Software for the education.

Dr. P Nagabhuashan, congratulated team VTU Kalaburagi for hosting such an event for the first time on the national and international level. Dr. Subhash kulkarni, principal PESIT South Campus Bangalore appreciated the efforts in organizing such a big event from Kalyana Karnataka.

Dr. Shubhangi D C briefed about the FDP, Dr. B Shambhu Lingappa hosted the programme and Dr. Baswaraj Gadgay, Regional Director, VTU, Kalaburagi thanked the resource persons and the participants. More than 1000 participants from India and abroad attended.
