Nada Habba: Punit Rajkumar remembered

  • More than 50 persons signed the form to donate their eye

Kalaburagi: In remembrance late Kannada film actor Punit Rajkumar, a special programme was held by organizing eye donation camp. Zilla Kannada Sahitya Parishath organized a-nine-day Nada Habba, on eve of Dasara with multiple cultural events at its campus. And the eye donation camp was some new for the Parishath event. Retired District Judge CR Benakanalli and Tahsildar Anjum Tabassum (Chincoli), Suresh Varma (Shahabad-Kamalapur) many others were the guests.

Vijaykumar Patil Tegaltippi president of the Parishath said it’s an historical event after Mysuru. Though the Karnataka state has many districts, Kalaburagi is the second such place where Dasara is celebrated with such a grand manner. In these nine days, every day there was different evening. From dance, singing, poetry reading, sports, lecture and theatre was organized.

As many as ninety achievers were felicitated on the occasion. Secretary of Parishath Shivraj Andagi was the convener for the event which was held from September 25 to October 3 at Suvarna Sabha Auditorium.
