Free Ayurvedic Treatment Camp at Appa Ayurvedic Therapy and Modern Spa Centre
KALABURAGI; Mr Basavaraj Deshmukh, Secretary of the Sharnbasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha today stressed the need for propagating Ayurveda , which has preventive qualities of almost all the ailments, as the alternative medicine due to the curative qualities coupled with zero side effects and cost effective treatment.
Speaking after inaugurating the one-day Free Ayurvedic Treatment Camp at the Appa Ayurvedic Therapy and Modern Spa Centre attached to the Sharnbasva University in Kalaburagi City, Mr Deshmukh said that the Ayurveda was one of the important gift to the world by India and from time immemorial Ayurveda has proved to be an effective alternative medicine.
One of the features of the free treatment camp was the participation of Two expert Ayurvedic Physicians Dr R Deepak and Dr Anup Rajan K from the famous Vaidyaratnam P S Varier’s Arya Vaidya Shala in Kottakal in Kerala. They along with four physicians and 10 therapists attached to would be providing consultation and expert treatment to various ailments including nervous disorders, orthopedic issues including arthritis, skin problems, Psoriasis , White Patches, Piles, fistula and other disorders and ailments.
Mr Deshmukh said that Ayurveda which is widely accepted as the most preferred medicine in a state like Kerala, which has the highest literacy rate, is making a slow but steady progress as an alternative medicine in other parts of the country. He said that the Ayurveda Therapy and Modern Spa Centre was established 13 years back in Kalaburagi city by Mahadasohi Poojya Dr Sharnbaswappa Appaji with a sole aim of extending most trusted curative treatment to the people of Kalaburagi region. Poojya Appaji who was suffering from severe back pain had taken treatment of the Arya Vaidya Shala in Kottakal before starting the similar centre in Kalaburagi city.
Presiding over the function Dr Niranjan Nisty, who himself is an eminent cardiologist said that the different branches of the medicines including Allopathy, Homeopathy and Ayurveda were inter complimentary and while Ayurveda had qualities to prevent different ailments and noted that for any ailment the treatment should be holistic and affordable to the patients. While allopathic treatment is prohibitively expensive the people have no other alternative but to avail allopathic treatment in times of emergencies, while other forms of treatments including Ayurveda is considerably less expensive.
Dr Deshmukh also launched a health card for the staff of the Sharnbasva University and other institutions run by the Sharnbasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha where in the staff would be eligible for 50 per cent concession in treatment of all ailments in the Appa Ayurvedic Theraphy and Modern Spa Centre. Pro vice Chancellor Prof V D Mytri also spoke on the occasion. Head of the Centre Dr Allamprabhu Gudda welcomed. Prominent among others who were present included Registrar of the University Dr Anilkumar Bidave, Dean Dr Lakshmi Patil Maka, Finance Officer Prof Kiran Maka were present. Dr Sampada made introductory remarks and Dr Malavika proposed vote of thanks.
