Sharnbasva University signs MoU with KKCCI

KALABURAGI: Sharnbasva University and the Kalyana Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KKCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote entrepreneurship development and establishment of an incubation centre in KKCCI to provide a platform for budding entrepreneurship to develop their ideas into realities.

Registrar of the University Dr Anilkumar Bidave signed the MoU on behalf of the Sharnbasva University and President of the KKCCI Mr Shashikant B Patil inked his signature on behalf of the KKCCI. Secretary of the Sharnbasveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha Mr Basavaraj Deshmukh and Mr Shashikant B Patil exchanged the signed copies of the MoU.

The main emphasis of the MoU was to promote the entrepreneurship development in the Kalyana Karnataka region by organizing entrepreneurship development programmes, management development programmes and conducting training and workshops for the members of the KKCCI, students of the Sharnbasva University and other entrepreneurs of the region.

The modalities of the establishment and working of the incubation centre will be worked at in detail separately later. If there was a need both the Sharnbasva University and the KKCCI would collaborate with other institutes of eminence or agency for the promotion of industries and entrepreneurship in the region.

The MoU also provides opportunities for the undertaking of joint research project for the development of industries and entrepreneurship development the funding and other operational modalities would be discussed need based at appropriate time.

The Sharnbasva University would also avail the support of the KKCCI in building students capabilities through internships and the KKCCI would provide opportunity to the students of the university to do internship in its member organizations. Besides this the KKCCI would open up opportunities in its member organization to do research on the issues faced by the organization to find practical solution to the problems. The outcomes of the research may be published in the form of case study and the research papers without compromising the interest of the organization.

The MoU provides opportunities for organizing seminars and workshops jointly either in the University campus or at the KKCCI premises. It is also agreed to extend infrastructure facilities for the use of the KKCCI at the University and KKCCI facilities for the use of University at the KKCCI.

The 8th Mahadasoha Peetathipathi of the Sharnbasaveshwar Samasthan Poojya Dr Sharnbaswappa Appaji, who is also the Chancellor of the Sharnbasva University and Chairperson of the Sharnbasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha Matoshree Dr Dakshayini Avvaji congratulated the University authorities for signing MoU with the KKCCI which would go long way in helping the students to mould themselves as future entrepreneurs.
