Prasad C Bukka Felicitated for clearing CA Foundation Exam

KALABURAGI;  Prasad C Bukka,  pursuing his B.Com course in Sharanabasaveshwar College of Commerce was felicitated by the college management and the Alumni Association of the College for clearing the Chartered Accountant Foundation Examination with flying colours on his second attempt and bringing laurels to the college.

The student was felicitated and presented a cheque of Rs 5000 as a recognition of his hard work by the Director of the CA Foundation Course Dr Indira B Shetkar, Principal Dr Dashrath Mehtry, and Dean of the Social Science Faculty of the Sharnbasva University Mr T V Sivanandan at a gathering of the students and faculty of the commerce college and the alumni of the college in Kalaburagi city on Saturday.

Mr Sivanandan who was the chief guest of the felicitation function praise the perseverance and commitment to excellence of Mr Bukka and pointed out that the foundation examination of the Chartered Accountant was not an ordinary test, but a rigorous assessment that evaluates the student’s understanding of fundamental accounting principles, taxation laws and business practices. “To emerge victorious from such an examination spoke volumes about Mr Bukka’s depth of understanding and aptitude in the field of accountancy”

He congratulated the faculty of the college and Arivupro foundation which had joined hands with the college in providing training and coaching to the students pursuing the course for their commitment and support extended to the students.

Principal of the college Dr Dashrath Mehtry in his presidential remark congratulated Dr Shetkar for her commitment and providing necessary handholding for the students to excel. He said that the college proposes to start an integrated five year law course from next academic year and soon a proposal in this regard would be submitted to the Karnataka State Law University. The five year course would offer the regular commerce subjects in the first three years and the last two years would be dedicated to law increasing the skills of the students.

President of the Alumni Association Mr Shivanand Patil,   Vice President Mr Kallinath Patil, Dr Indira Shetkar also spoke on the occasion. Mr Bukka shared his experience of how he prepared for the Foundation Examination.
