IEEE India Philanthropy sanctions scholarship of Rs 5.50 lakhs to 11 students of the Sharnbasva University
KALABURAGI; The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) India Philanthropy in a good gesture has sanctioned a total scholarship of Rs 5.50 lakhs to 11 students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (Exclusively for Women).
Dean of the Sharnbasva University Dr Lakshmi Patil Maka in a press release issued in Kalaburagi on Wednesday said that besides the scholarship, the students would also have access to two courses in the IEEE blended learning platforms, around 12 learning and mentoring sessions from Industry and Academic professionals, Engagement in Philanthropy initiatives of IEEE and networking with professionals and placement linkage support.
Dr Maka said that this gesture of the IEEE would go long way in helping the students to ease the burden of fees to pursue their engineering courses and also have access to all the high end facilities extended by the IEEE. The Scholarship was being extended under the IEEE WIE Bangalore sectioned funded by CSR iinitiatives of Guest Global for 325 women across three Indian states. The scholarship sanctioned by the IEEE should be used for meeting the college fee including the tuition and other related fees of the beneficiary students.
The 11 students who have been sanctioned the scholarship included Varsha Hangargi (Electrical and Electronics Engineering), Nisarga Heroormath (Computer Science and Engineering), Divya Lalitha M (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), Vaishnavi Soma (Computer Science and Engineering) Mohammadi Maheen Naaz (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), Narmada Mainde (Computer Science and Engineering), Radhika Sanmukha (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), Rakshita Patil (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), Aishwarya Satyaprakash Katake (Electrical and Electronics Enginineering), Ashwini Biradar (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), and Soumyashree Kallur (Computer Science and Engineering).
The 8th Mahadasoha Peetathipathi of the Sharanbasweshwar Samasthan and Chancellor of the Sharnbasva University Poojya Dr Sharnbaswappa Appaji, Chairperson of the Sharanabasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha Matoshree Dr Dakshayini Avvaji, Secretary of the Sharanabasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha Mr Basavaraj Deshmukh, and Registrar Dr Anilkumar Bidave appreciated the gesture of the IEEE and congratulated the students who have been sanctioned the scholarship and their mentor-teachers.
