Rehaman Patel’s painting on Peace entitled “No More War” will be on display at Nepal International Expo
Kalaburagi: A painting representing peace, titled “No More War” would be on display at a three-day International Art Exhibition organized by the Shorong Art Group from April 15 to 17 at Sonja Art Gallery, Thamel, Kathmandu in Nepal.
Noted artist Rehaman Patel in his painting showed the dove with an olive branch a modern symbol of peace that has been accepted in many faiths and places across the globe. Dove symbolizes love, peace, devotion, purity and message.
Patel says art can resolve conflicts and spread peace. It is a universal concept that improves brotherhood and harmony. When there is a lot of chaos going on around us it is the right time to understand the role of art in spreading peace and love. The work of art allows the viewers to take a new perspective and understand peace better. Here is an artwork which conveys the message of peace through every colour and stroke.
The background splashed red and blue-green colours representing blood and smoke. A dove flying by holding olive branch to give a message to end the war as it is harmful for the earth planate. This is the only planate in universe where human can survive. And this is a right of each person to protect it.
Though there is a direct message from United Nations to end the war, the nations who are involved in war since a long time has not stopped. The UN also declared the dove as a symbol of peace in 1982 and designated it as the official emblem.
Patel will be in Nepal for three days and he will interact with the visitors to spread peace message with his painting title “No More War”.
Patel who is known for his contemporary paintings has previously attended and exhibited his artworks at Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka with his theme like India under One Umbrella, Ye Mera India, Taj and Bindu etc. He is a recipient of Fellowship from Union Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of India in 2002.
