Prof Subbayya M Neela wins International Painting contest in Nepal
KALABURAGI; The Chairperson of the Department of Fine Arts in Sharnbasva University Prof Subbayya M Neela has brought laurels to the country and the University by winning the first prize in the International Art Exhibition conducted by the Shorang Art Group at Sonja Art Gallery in Katmandu in Nepal held from April 15 to 17.
Prof Neela’s painting “India and Nepal” depicting the famous Pashupatinath Temple and Sharanabasaveshwar Shrine with a vibrant green background in Acrylic and Canvas medium won the admiration of Judges from different countries and adjudged as the best.
44 artists from different countries had participated in the exhibition and of them 22 were selected to participate in the art camp where the artists were asked to bring out their imaginations on the canvas for the selection of the best paintings. Mr Ganesh Parajuli, MP presented the award to Prof Neela at the end of the exhibition.
