Sharnbasva University hosts 2nd International Conference on 6G Communications and Networking
KALABURAGI; Sharnbasva University added one more feather in its cap by successfully organizing the 2nd International Conference on 6G Communications Networking and Signal Processing -2024 (SGCNSP-2024) in the online mode in which experts from different countries delivered special lectures on the emerging technology in the field of communications and signals.
The first SGCMSP-2023 was hosted by the famed Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and this conference being held for the first time by the University from North Karnataka is considered to be a prestigious Congregation of the eminent experts from different countries. The conferences brings together researchers and practioners working in the field of computing, communications and security aspects and providing a forum to present and discuss emerging ideas and trends in this highly challenging research field.
Other prominent speakers who delivered key note addresses included Prof Weidong Ziang from University of Michigan, Dearhorn, USA, Prof Guan Guis, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunication in China, Prof Uday Parampalli from University of Melbourne, Australia and Prof Ioannis Krikidis from University of Cyprus. Dr Nagabhushan Reddy, Principal Firmware Engineer from Microsoft and Academicians from reputed institutes of higher studies including Dr Sudhan Majhi from IISc Bangalore, Dr Ajay Singh from IIT Jammu, Dr Chalavadi Vishnu from IIT Tirupati were among others who delivered guest lectures in the conference and threw new light on the latest development in the emerging areas of communication networking and signal processing.
According to Dean of the Sharnbasva University Dr Lakshmi Patil Maka, who is the force behind organizing this prestigious International conference the selected papers presented in the conference would be published in the prestigious Journal Springer Nature “Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering”. Springer is the publishing partner of the Conference. Dr Maka said the SGCNSP-24 attracted more than 187 scholarly papers and after close scrutiny of these scholarly presentation a committee of experts have selected 55 high quality scholarly submission after following standard review process, rigorous double-blind review for the inclusion in the conference proceedings.
The selected papers has been categorized into specific tracks and they were presented in seven parallel sessions. In each track the best presentation would be selected for the award of certificate. In all the seven sessions domain experts from different Universities and IT industries experts have been made judges to assess the presentation and give fruitful suggestions to the scholars. All the selected 55 papers would be published by Springer in its journal.
Dr Maka spoke about the importance of the conference and how it would help the students and the faculty members of the respective departments to enrich their knowledge about the emerging areas of technology. Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Anilkumar Bidve presided over.
