A mega Industrial corridor planned in Kalyana Karnataka Region to arrest brain drain of human resources of the region

KALABURAGI;  Minister of Forest and Environment Mr Eashwar Khandre has said that the state government proposes to establish a mega Industrial corridor in the Kalyana Karnatak region to arrest the brain drain of the rich human resources to other parts of the country and abroad and utilize their caliber in the nation building activities.

Speaking after inaugurating the 7th Foundation Day celebrations of Sharnbasva University and the 59th Birthday celebrations of Secretary of the Sharnbasveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha Mr Basavaraj Deshmukh in Kalaburagi City on Monday, Mr Khandre said that due to lack of opportunities, the rich human resources produced by the institutes of higher education and technical institutes were shifting to other cities in the country and abroad in search of good opportunities to expose their talent. “There is urgent need to arrest this brain drain and the government was committed to promote investments in the industrial sector in the Kalyana Karnataka region for providing employment avenues to the human resources of the region”.

Showering accolades on the Religious Institutions like the Sharanabasaveshwar Samasthan for their immense contribution in the field of education, Mr Khandre said that the religious institutions had filled the gap in extending avenues in the field of education to the people of the region by establishing chain of educational institutions from nursery to the post graduate education.

He said that the Sharnabasaveshwar Samasthan and the Sharanabasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha had contributed immensely for the educational empowerment of the region and the 7th Peetadhipathi of the Samasthan Poojya Doddappa Appaji and the 8th Peetadhipathi Poojya Dr Sharnbaswappa Appaji have single handedly converted the educational backward region into a major educational centre. He said that the vision of Poojya Doddappa Appaji that the Education was the only tool to transform the individual and the society has proved true now. “Poojya Doddappa Appaji began the educational revolution by starting a primary school for girls way back in 1934 and this has grown into a big banyan tree providing educational avenues to more than 30,000 students of the region in different educational institutions run by the Sangha. In Sharnbasva University alone more than 7000 students were pursuing their education”.

Mr Khandre said that due to the efforts of Dr Sharnbaswappa Appaji of providing quality education without any compromise, the students of the region could get themselves selected in the civil service and other competitive examinations, including NEET, and other examinations.  “The students of the region require a perfect platform to exhibit their knowledge and the educational institutions run by the Sangha have provided the perfect platform for them”.

Earlier, Mr Khandre released the maiden magazine of the University, prospectus of the University and other journals of the University. He also felicitated Mr Basavaraj Deshmukh on his birthday celebrations.   Former Vice Chancellor of the University Dr Niranjan Nisty and Noted Artist Mr A S Patil were felicitated for their achievements in their respective fields.

Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Anilkumar Bidve presided over, Registrar of the University Dr S G Dollegoudar welcomed and Finance Officer Prof Kiran Maka proposed vote of thanks. Prominent among others who were present included Congress MLA Mr Allamprabhu Patil, MLC Mr Jagadev Guttedar, Dean Dr Lakshmi Patil Maka, Dr Umadevi Deshmukh, wife of Mr Basavaraj Deshmukh, Director of the University Prof V D Mytri, Registrar(Evaluation) Dr S H Honnalli.
