Sharnbasva University joins the select band of Universities in the country with the inauguration of high end Intel Laboratory

KALABURAGI;  Sharnbasva University joined the select band of Universities in the country adding the latest high end Intel Laboratory in its Intel Unnati Centre of Excellence in the main campus of the University in Kalaburagi city on Saturday.

Chairperson of the Sharnbasveswar Vidya Vardak Sangha Matoshree Dr Dakshayini Avvaji inaugurated the high end laboratory in the main campus of the University on Saturday in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof Anilkumar Bidve, Registrar Dr S G Dollegoudar, Dean Dr Lakshmi Patil Maka, Director Prof V D Mytri and other officers of the University and deans of various faculties.

The Laboratory has been established at a cost of more than Rs 2 Crore and the Intel had supplied the latest high speed servers, workstations and software’s at subsidized rates to be installed in the laboratory.

Very few Universities in the country has such a high end labotory to provide hands on experience and training to the engineering students, more particularly those pursuing the emerging areas of engineering education including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences, Computer Sciences, Electronics and Communication  and other branches of engineering courses related to computer sciences.

Prof Bidve said that this laboratory would enable the students to learn advanced computing and teachers can provide real time training to the students. The students can also do their projects and also can enroll themselves for internship at the end of their course period and need not go in search of software companies for mandatory internships.

Dr Avvaji briefly interacting with the officers of the university and faculty expressed her happiness for inaugurating the high end laboratory in the Centre of Excellence and urged the students to take full benefit of the facility extended by the University.

The fully air conditioned laboratory has plus high speed computers for the students to pursue their hands on training and one of the features of the laboratory was that it has been networked with other computer laboratories in other departments to enable the students to take the full benefit of the latest facility.
