Ayazuddin Patel awarded Drushyabhushana

Kalaburagi: Gulbarga-based artist Mohammed Ayazuddin Patel was felicitated with highest award ‘Drushyabhushana’ instituted by the Ideal Fine Art Society at its art gallery on Thursday here. The award is given in memory of late artist MB Patil. The award carries cash prize of Rs.10,000 and a citation. Patel has been working in the field of visual art since three decades. He also visited more than 30 countries. He is recipient of the National Lalit Kala Akademi and international awards.

Karnataka Central University registrar Prof Basavaraj Donnur inaugurated the event. While speaking said awards are important parts in the life of achievers. He said Andani who himself is an artist knows the value of award.

Secretary of the Ideal Fine Art Society and veteran artist Andani VG presided over the function. He said the award is a selective and honoured to those who dedicated to the field.

Several artists and art promoters have attended the award ceremony. Basawaraj Uppin, AS Patil, Basawaraj Jane, Subbayya Neela, Mohammaed Sirajuddin Patel, Rajshaekhar S, T Devendra, Haji Malang, Rehaman Patel and college staff was present.
