Governor Emphasizes Importance of Technological Advancement for Nation’s Development
Bengaluru; Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, emphasized the importance of technological advancement for the development of the nation during his speech at the 22nd convocation of Visvesvaraya Technical University, held on Friday at VTU’s Gnana Sangam Hall.
In his address, Governor TC Gehlot highlighted the pivotal role played by technical education in the growth of the country. He stressed that quality technical education would equip the youth with the necessary skills and expertise to excel in their chosen fields.
Visvesvaraya Technical University, one of the largest technical universities in India, was established to impart practical and theoretical technical knowledge, research and innovation, inspired by the vision and leadership of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visveswaraiah, a brilliant engineer and institution builder.
The Governor congratulated all the graduating students, expressing his confidence that the quality technical education and strong moral foundation provided by the university would help them succeed in their careers and make progress in their lives.
Highlighting the significance of education in shaping an individual’s life and the country’s development, the Governor urged everyone to put in concerted efforts to showcase the skills, talents, and energies of India’s youth.
He called upon the youth to align their education, skills, and moral values with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of making New India, Shrestha Bharat, and Atma nirbhar Bharat.
The convocation was graced by the presence of Chairman of All India Council of Technical Education Prof. T.G. Sitaram, VC Prof. Vidyashankar and other dignitaries.
