MGNCRE and Sharnbasva University sign of MoU to promote professional education in rural management
KALABURAGI; The Hyderabad based Mahatma Gandhi National Council for Rural Education (MGNCRE), an apex body in formulating the policies for the Rural Education, and the Sharnbasva University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for promoting professional education in rural management and allowing the students and the faculty of the University to avail all the professional services and participate in the workshops and seminars conducted regularly by the MGNCRE.
Director of the MGNCRE Dr Chetan Chitalkar exchanged the copies of the MoU with Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof V D Mytri at a function in the Conference Hall of the Sharnbasva University in the main campus on Wednesday. The MoU was signed by Dr Nagalakshmi, Member Secretary of the MGNCRE and Registrar of the University Dr Anilkumar Bidve.
The signing of the MoU with the MGNCRE and Sharnbasva University is considered as yet another step towards providing new avenues of educational opportunities for the students of the region and the MoU now enables the Sharnbasva University with the course curriculum of Rural Education developed by the MGNCRE, The MoU also facilitates students and faculty accessibility to the various online course content offered by the MGNCRE.
The students of the Sharnbasva University would also now be allowed to participate in the workshops and the faculty members of the University would be allowed to participate in the tailor made Faculty development Programmes (FDPs) organized regularly by the MGNCRE. The Hyderabad based MGNCRE would also provide opportunities for the Industry-academic meet to the students and faculty members of the Sharnbasva University. The MGNCRE would also help the University in arranging field study, summer internship and final placement for their rural management students
Speaking on the occasion Dr Chitalkar said that the individual courses at the Under graduate and Post Graduate levels on the rural management provides the much needed solutions to the marketing owes faced by the farmers and also would open new avenues of marketing strategies for the farmers. He said that the colleges and universities can either offer individual courses in the rural marketing either at the UG or PG level or offer it as a add on subject in the Business Administration courses at the UG and PG level or even offer Post Graduate diploma courses.
The educational institutions should utilize the world of opportunities in the rural marketing and create new openings for the students to shape their professional careers in the new and unexplored areas.
Dr Bidve in his address said that the signing of the MoU between the University and the MGNCRE would go long way in helping the students of the University in exploring new opportunities and also help in implementing the provisions of the New Education Policy which provides stress on the development of multi skills among the students and offering the students to study the courses of their choice to shape their professional careers. Prominent among others who were present included Pro vice chancellor Prof V D Mytri, Dean Dr Lakshmi Patil Maka and others. Dean of the faculty of business studies Dr S H Honnalli welcomed.
