Sri Sharanappa S Devarmani is no more
KALABURAGI; Leading Businessman and Social activist Sri Sharanappa S Devarmani died after brief illness at a ripe age of 90 in Kalaburagi city on Monday night.
Sri Devarmani was a close confident of 8th Mahadasoha Peetathipathi Poojya Dr Sharnbaswappa Appaji and was the longest serving Secretary of the Sharnabasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha. He stepped down as the secretary of the Sangha couple of years back and handed over the charge to present Secretary Mr Basavaraj Deshmukh.
Hailing from Nelogi village in Jewargi taluk, Mr Devarmani leaves behind his aged wife Shashikala, two sons, three daughters, grand children and countless number of friends and relatives. On Tuesday, the mortal remains of Sri Devarmani was taken to Nelogi and in the presence of his relatives and friends was buried following all the religious rituals.
Poojya Dr Appaji, Chairperson of the Sangha Dr Dakshayini Avvaji, Secretary Mr Deshmukh condoled the death of Sri Devarmani. In Sharnbasva University a meeting was organized to condole the death of Sri Devarmani. Registrar Dr Anilkumar Bidave recalled the immense contribution of Sri Devarmani to the Sangha and to develop all the educational institutions and University. Prominent among others who participated in the condolence meeting included Pro Chancellor Prof V D Mytri, Deans of all the faculties and chairpersons of all the departments.
