New Academic Buildings Inaugurated at CUK

KALABURAGI: “India was the teacher of the world (Vishwa Guru) and it has great universities like Nalanda and Takshaseela, and once again India is going to become Vishwa Guru by 2047” said Bhagavant Khuba, Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Government of India.

Today he was speaking in the new academic building inauguration program at Central University of Karnataka,

Kalaburagi. Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the four academic buildings along with other institutions across India. He further said “India has greate universities because of its culture. It was known for its knowledge in the field of science, culture, spiritualism, yoga, mathematics and medicine. People have not only stolen our knowledge but also destroyed our knowledge centres.

It is time to build our education institutions and make India Vishwa Guru. Hon’be Prime Minister has done it in ten years what was not possible in last 50 years. Presently India is in the top three economies and by 2047 it will become number one. After the Covid all the economies across the globe are struggling, but India’s economy growing at faster rate. We have come up with the NEP keeping India’s future requirements. More than 2.5 lakh people were consulted for framing NEP. New Education Policy has created confidence among the students and they are able to build their future. Similarly 1.2 crore people are trained under skill development program and livelihood is created to all of them.

It is proud movement for all the students’ last 10 years investment on education has doubled and now every state has central universities, number of IITs, IIITs, AIIMS and IIMs has increased. Looking at the role of education in the last budget government has allocated one lakh crore rupees for research and development. India’s future is in the hands of the youths. Next twenty five years are yours. You all have to work for the nation building.”

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Battu Satyanarayana has presided over the program and said “today Hon’ble Prime Minister has inaugurated the sophisticated instrumentation centre, engineering lab, incubation and skill development center and classroom complex. All these we have spent more than Rs. 84 crores and these are very advanced labs for the science and engineering. All the students and teacher should make use of these facilities to produce quality research and development.”

He also said that “Hon’ble Minister Bhagavant Khuba, will build the open gym in the CUK for the staff and students and the work will begin tomorrow itself and it will be completed within a month.”

On the occasion university engineer Istalingappa Mahagaunkar and other engineers were felicitated for their contribution to the university.

Registrar Prof. R R Biradar has proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Ankita Satpati and Dr. Swapnil Chapekar anchored the program. Dr. Jayadevi Jangamshetty and Dr. Ravikiran Nakod rendered the national song and national anthem. On the occasion Dean, Campus Development Prof. Channaveer RM, CoE Kota Sai Krishna, DSW Prof. Ravindra Hegadi, Prof. Basavaraj Donur, Prof. Pushpa Savadatti, Prof. Ganesh Pawar, Prof. Vikram Visaji, deans, heads of various departments, faculties and students were present.
