Thousands of people participated in voting awareness program including bikes, bicycles and walkers
Bangalore; Thousands of girls and citizens enthusiastically participated in the Women’s Day Special Walkathon organized in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Returning Officer, BBMP and Kauvery Hospital in the city to create awareness about active participation and voting in the Lok Sabha elections.
Famous actress Pranita Subhash launched a walkathon, bike rally and bicycle rally at Kauvery Hospital premises in Marathahalli on Sunday at 6:30 am.
Around 500 bikes, 1200 cycles and thousands of public, especially women participated enthusiastically. Awareness was created about the importance of voting during the walkathon held in the surrounding areas of Marathahalli.
Actress Pranita Subhash who spoke on this occasion, said this is a meaningful program. We must participate by voting in the Lok Sabha elections which are the biggest festival of democracy. Especially girls should go to the polling station in large numbers and vote. It is inspiring that this voting awareness program has been organized on the occasion of Women’s Day. What do citizens want? What not? She also said that it is necessary to exercise the right to vote to realize the concepts of the country’s development.
