Innovative project by the students of the Sharnbasva University and Govt Girls PU College selected for WINTECHON 2024 exhibition
KALABURGI; An innovative project on IOT based Child and Women safety and GPS location and Monitoring system developed by two each students from the Sharnbasva University and the Government Girls PU College in Kalaburagi City is one among the six projects selected in the state for Project Development and Project Exhibition and Evaluation at the prestigious 5th IEEE International Conference for Women in Technology –WINTECHON 2024 to be held in Bengaluru on November 12 and 13.
Dr Asharani Patil, a professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication in the Sharnbasva University, who guided the students to shape the project to perfection in a press release issued in Kalaburagi city on Thursday that the Nida Muskan and Vaishnavi who are in the seventh semester in the Sharnbasva University and Keerthi Subash and Annapurna Jamadar from Government PU College had configured the project which would provide the much needed security to the women and children.
Dr Patil said that the project prepared by the students from Kalaburagi were the only project to be selected from the entire North Karnataka and rest of the five projects selected for the exhibition were from South, Central and Coastal Karnataka regions.
The IEEE Bengaluru and IEEE CAS Bengaluru in Association with the IEEE WIE Bengaluru had provided various components and kits for the development of the Arduino based embedded system project for the welfare and project and women and children in the society.
The kit provided by these organizations included UNO R3ATmega 328p Compatiable Development Board, Arduino L293D Motor Drive Shield, DC Adaptor, Digital Multimeter, Professional Starter Kit, UNO Sensors and Modules, Schematic based Code and all the necessary components for the development project.
Dr Patil said that the International Conference is being organized by IEEE Bengaluru section, IEEE CAS Bengaluru Chapter, WIE-Women in Engineering Affinity Group Bengaluru Section.
