Royal academy introducing three artists at Egypt International Art Fair

KALABURAGI: Representing India, Kalaburagi-based non-government organisation Indian Royal Academy of Art and Culture now launching three artists Rehaman Patel, Priti Samyukta Bhatt and Shahed Pasha and introducing their works of art at the first edition of The World Art Forum (WAF) will be held at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Cairo from January 15 to 19.

The Royal Academy which is serving art and artists in our country since 18-years is now proudly introducing the talented artists at international level to showcase their creativity. The academy is exhibiting artworks with its own expanses to provide a platform to the deserving artists.

Due to Covid and Omicron restrictions these artists could not attend the event physically but original paintings have been sent for the exhibition through courier.

Paintings based on Peace-Positive Understanding, Indian Mythology and Cultural Heritage will be on display in this five day International Art Fair. Artist and president of Indian Royal Academy of Art and Culture Rehaman Patel painted in abstract form of colours which elaborates the world peace topic. Priti Samyukta Bhatt formally used Ajanta murals in her painting to represent our rich ancient heritage. However, Shahed Pasha chosen Indian mythology drawn on canvas representing Karnataka miniature art form.

Artists and galleries from 30 countries will display their artwork at one of Egypt’s most prestigious museums, proving that art has been and continuous to be a pillar of resiliency and sustainability throughout history.

WAF will be open for the public and will include an International Art Fair and a series of round table discussions designed to bring together artists and development experts in order to create partnerships that lead to new and original art initiatives.

According to the organiser Shereen Badr and Randa Fouad WAF is organized in partnership with the United Nations in Egypt and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), and will take place under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Ministry of Migration, and Ministry of Environment (Arab Republic of Egypt).

Rehaman Patel, Priti Samyukta Bhatt and Shahed Pasha have done PhD in visual art and serving as professors in different universities.
