Multilingual Vachana Translation Workshop Concluded at CUK
KALABURAGI: “MoUs are made to work and benefit to the society, not to be kept in the cupboards. Our association and MoU with BasavaSamithi will go long way” said Prof.BattuSatyanarayana, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, CUK.
He was speaking on the occasion of Three-Day (14th-16th November 2022) workshop on multilingual Vachana translation workshop held in the CUK in association with BasavaSamithi Bengaluru. CUK and BasavaSamithi are translating Vachanas to German, Japanese and Spanish languages. He further “we will work to meet the expectations of the people and our work will go to the people and benefit the society.
This work will help us to take Vachana philosophy and literature into the global level. Our teachers are highly interested and committed to the translation project. I am very happy to see the progress of the translation work.”
Chief Guest and President of BasavaSamithi, Bengaluru Sri. AravindJatti also spoke on the occasion and said “Our MoU and translation project is going on in the right direction and it is very productive. We are very thankful to Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof.BattuStyanarayan for the opportunity to work with CUK. We will also try to bring in Embassies of Germany, Japan and Spain to spread the Vachana philosophy I these countries.”
Prof.BasavarajDonur, Registrar, CUK, was guest of honour and said “Our Vice Chancellor want to make our MoU to work its fullest potential. He understands the importance of Vachana literature, movement and philosophy. He is emphasising on the introduction of Vachana based moral education to our students in English, Hindi as well as Kannada languages”.
On the occasion Prof.VeernnaDande, Prof.JayashreeDande, Dr.SiddannaLangoti, Prof. B BPujar, Prof.VikramVisaji, Prof.SudhaShreedhar, Prof.Banumathy, Dr. Kumar Mangalam, Dr.Shivam Mishra, Dr. Prakash Balikai and Coordinator of BasavaPeetha, CUK, Dr.Ganapati B Sinnoor were present.
