Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot Commemorates Guru Nanak Dev’s Legacy During Visit to Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Bangalore
Bengaluru; The Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, expressed profound admiration for the enduring teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev during his visit to Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Bangalore on Monday. Governor Gehlot underscored the significance of Guru Nanak Dev’s philosophy, emphasizing its enduring impact on Indian culture.
In his address to the gathering, Governor Gehlot paid homage to the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev, on his Jayanti, extending warm wishes for a joyous Prakash Parv. He remarked, “May this Prakash Parv illuminate the lives of all, as we rededicate ourselves to realizing Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s vision of a just, inclusive, and harmonious society.”
Reflecting on Guru Nanak Dev’s profound teachings, the Governor highlighted the Guru’s emphasis on promoting harmony, peace, and socio-economic prosperity. Quoting Guru Nanak Dev’s timeless message of “Naam Japo, Kirat Karo, Vand Chako” – to chant the Name of God, work diligently, and help the needy – Governor Gehlot stressed that these principles are integral to fostering global peace, equality, and prosperity.
Concluding his address, Governor Gehlot echoed Guru Nanak Dev’s call to follow the path of righteousness, spreading happiness, offering prayers, serving others, and safeguarding Dharma. The event was attended by Jasbir Singh Dody, President of Sri Gur Singh Sabha, among other dignitaries.
