Dr P S Shankar Pratisthan invites application for Scholarship from Medical Students
KALABURAGI; Dr P s Shankar Pratisthan has invited applications from the eligible students who had joined the MBBS course in the 2024-29 batch for the monthly scholarship of Rs 1500 provided till the end of the course for a period of 54 months.
Secretary of the Pratisthan Prof Narendra Badasheshi in a press statement issued in Kalaburagi city on Wednesday said that the students joining the MBBS course starting from November-2024 and those who had passed their Pre University course in the examinations conducted in April 2024 were eligible to apply for the scholarship provided by the Pratisthan. Every year the Pratisthan provided monthly scholarship to 10 merited students and this is the 23rd year in which the Pratisthan is providing the scholarship to the merited students pursuing medical courses.
Prof Badasheshi said that merited students from the economically backward and poor families with rural background and who had pursued their education in Kannada Medium would be given preference at the time of selection for providing the scholarship. The scholarship would be provided only to the students hailing from Karnataka.
The interested applicants should in their handwriting should explain the economic backwardness of their families in a foolscap sheet and submit it along with the prescribed application for the scholarship which can be downloaded from official website of the pratisthan www.psshankarpratistan.in and send it by post to the below given address of the Pratisthan to reach on or before October 10th, 2024. Along with the application the students should send the photo copies of the PUC Marks Card and Marks card of the NEET examinations. The students can send their filled applications through their respective Principals of the Medical Colleges or directly.
