20th Annual Indian Royal Academy National Awards announced

KALABURAGI;The Indian Royal Academy of Art and Culture has announced its 20th Annual Indian Royal Academy National Awards 2024 that are given in various categories in visual art.

Academy president Rehaman Patel said that Jaipur-based artist Mohammed Salim has been chosen for MF Husain Award Rs 10,000 for his painting title “Expression”, Mysore sculptor Anandbabu M Ambarkhane has chosen for SH Raza Award of Rs 10,000 for his untitled sculpture.

Bangalore-based artist GSB Agnihothri’s painting title “No one is Afraid” has been awarded FN Souza Award of Rs 10,000 and Nagpur artist Suhani Jain has been chosen for Amrita Shergil Award of Rs 10,000 for her drawing title “Line of Heritage”, and Wajidsajid of Manvi (Raichur) will be given AA Almelkar Award of Rs 10,000 for his painting title “Mother Teresa”.

Apart from this the academy has chosen 30 artist for Gold Medals for the best artworks and 20 artists for Merit Awards in different categories Patel said.

Dr S C Patil former Special Officer of Karnataka Fine Art University would inaugurate the exhibition and will distribute the awards on December 24 at 11 am at Kala Soudha Art Gallery, Bapugouda Darshanapur Rangamandir, Kannada Bhavan in Kalaburagi. Central University of Karnataka Asst Registrar Azeempasha and KaSaPa President Vijaykumar Patil Tegaltippi will be the chief guests the release said.
