Student’s Day Celebrated at CUK

KALABURAGI: “Education is the right of every citizen of India. This particular day is the day when Dr. BabasahebAmbedkar first went to school on 7th November. Iam very happy that Central University of Karnataka have been celebrating this day from few years now. Said, Prof. T.V Kattimani, Vice Chancellor, Central Tribal University of Andra Pradesh, Vijayanagaram.

He was talking on the occasion of ‘Student’s Day’ Celebration, organized by Dr. B R Ambedkar Chair, CUK on Thursday.  “Dr. B R Ambedkar is the Inspiration to all the students, he was know for his out of box thinking and creativity. He was always thinking ahead of 100 years. I would urge the students to cultivate this mentality”,he added Speaking further Prof. Kattimani told, “We should be ready to adopt new things and innovations, but always should stay closer to our mother tongue as Dr. B R Ambedkar. I request all the students to read Ambedkar without any bias on caste, religion or anything.”

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor in his Presidential remarks said, “when I had been to Srilanka I was thrilled to see the portrait of Dr. B R Ambedkar in the UGC office there. This shows how respected he was. To support SC/ST students in our university we have a separate library, book banks to the students.”
