About painting and artists’ message
I am very happy to exhibit my painting for the fourth time in abroad. And this time I got a chance to represent Peace message. Patel in his canvas painting titled ‘Give and take’ has mainly used white and blue colours which represent peace and harmony. He has also used red colour in back ground to signify the disturbance and division of unity. The composition explains to be a good human and live peacefully on this wonderful earth gifted by God. This painting will adopt a permanent place as it is donated to the museum. Already a letter of donation is given to Patel by the museum in this regard.
“Being the citizen of India, artist Rehaman Patel in his painting represented Mahatma Gandhi’s footsteps who always preached peace and harmony. To achieve a peaceful treaty is not that simple. Global peace has been hindered by many challenges that include both natural and human-made causes. The rationale behind achieving peace is in the positive understanding of “give and take”, humanity, forgiveness and non-violence. The right understanding will take the world in the right path.” This message will be displayed along with Patel’s painting.
Organizing such type of exhibition will benefit the people to keep distance with bad things. And bring awareness for world peace which is most necessary now a day.
Rehaman Patel always works on current issues. He is recipient of fellowship from Union Ministry of Tourism & Culture and Karnataka Shilpakala Academy for his creative artworks and research work. His paintings have adopted a permanent place at National Lalit Kala Akademi, National Gallery of Modern Art both in New Delhi, Karnataka Lalithakala Academy Bengaluru and many others. He has visited Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and represented Indian culture through his art.
