Artists dream comes true in Kalaburagi
Kalaburagi: Zilla Kannada Sahitya Parishath has made a good decision that they have created an art and cultural hub in its campus said Deputy Commissioner B Fouzia Taranum after inaugurating “Kala Soudha (Art Gallery) at Bapugouda Darshanpur Rangmandir at Kannada Bhavan here on Tuesday.
Apart from senior artists she opined the Parishath to continue the art and cultural events especially for children and youths also.
Eminent artist AS Patil said that it’s a long pending dream of Kalaburagi artist which became true now. Anyone can exhibit their talent at this gallery he said.
While addressing the gathering artist and curator of the exhibition Rehaman Patel said that now it’s a permanent art gallery for the artists who can showcase their talent for public. Police Commissioner Dr Sharanappa SD, artist JS Khaderao also spoke on the occassion. Parishath president Vijakumar Patil Tegaltippi presided over the function.
Secretary Shivraj Andagi, Dharmanna Dhanni and treasurer Sharanraj Chapparbandi and many others were present.
An art exhibition of 10 prominent artists will continue till October 27 daily from 11 am to 6 pm.
