Sharnbasva University enters MoU with GTTC for Student and Teachers training
KALABURAGI; The Sharnbasva University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government Tool room and Training Centre for providing internship training and placement to the students pursuing technical and professional courses in the University and in another MoU in the offing the GTTC would extend hands on training to the teaching staff of the university in batches to upscale their teaching skills in the latest machines and technology.
Registrar of the University Dr Anilkumar Bidve said that the MoU with the GTTC would go long way in providing a perfect platform for the students pursuing technical and professional courses to gets hand on training under the watchful eyes of the professionals in the latest technologies and machines installed in the GTTC facility in Gulbarga which is a Siemens Centre of Excellence (CoE) lab.

Dr Bidve said that already 150 students of the different courses in Engineering were undergoing training and internship in the GTTC facility in Kalaburagi city, established 28 years back. These students were being provided training and internship opportunities for 50 hours to 300 hours. The students undergoing the internship would be provided a certificate by the GTTC and the GTTC authorities would also help in the placement of the trained students.
Dr Bidve said that the GTTC was extending the internship to the Management and the students pursuing their undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Computer Applications. A separate MoU would be signed for extending internship to the students of Management, Business Studies and Computer Application particularly in Internet of Things ( IoT) activities. Besides this the expert professionals in the GTTC would also be visiting the Sharnbasva University to extend guest lecturers in their areas of specialization to update the knowledge of the students.

The GTTC has gone one step further to offer their expertise in providing training to the students to upscale their teaching skills with the latest innovations in the courses offered by the University.
The students and teachers would be largely benefitted by utilizing the state of art laborary facilities set up under the Siemens Centre of Excellence programme. The laborary includes facilities for product design validation, process and instrumentation, automation, robotics, advance manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Metrology, Test and Optimisation, Internet of Things, Mechatronics, Rapid Protype, DIAS, CNC Controller, CNC Machine.

With the GTTC extending its activities to the Electric Vehicle Engineering, particularly in training the students in the field of Batteries used in the Electric Vehicles, the students from the University opting for internship in the GTTC would exposed to the latest and emerging technologies and step into the new horizons of engineering activities.
Principal of the GTTC Mr Jairaj T Nargund and Nodal Officer Ashok Walikar had taken the initiative for signing the MoU with the Sharnbasva University for extending internship opportunities to the students and training programme to the teaching staff of the university. Both Mr Nargund and Mr Walikar were felicitated during their visit to the University by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof V D Mytri and Dr Bidve.
